1. Web Browser (Client)

Arriviste Web Stores are securely managed and administered from any remote computer via a standard Web Browser. Merchants do not need to install proprietary clients or dedicate machines to manage their Web Store.

2. Web Adapters

The Web Adapters optimize the interaction between end-user requests and the Arriviste application servers, balancing the request load to ensure maximum uninterrupted performance.

3. Application Servers

Arriviste Web Stores come with two types of application servers: one to handle administrative requests, and one for storefront requests. The application servers remain persistently loaded in memory, eliminating the need to relaunch the application each time as in traditional CGI systems for significant gains in speed. Arriviste administrators continually monitor the performance of all the servers and can add application servers to one or more machines to increase capacity and performance.

4. Database

The Intershop system utilizes the Sybase Adaptive Server XI, one of the most powerful database servers available in E-Commerce. The Sybase database complies with the Open Database Connectivity standard (ODBC), and can also be accessed through ODBC drivers for report generators, external accounting systems, merchandising systems, and other external databases. Arriviste Web Stores also come with a data import wizard which allows easy synchronization of data from existing inventory and order systems.
